It has recently been announced that a new restaurant may be built in your neighborhood. Do you support or oppose this plan? Why? Use specific reasons and details to support your answers.

With the planning of building a new restaurant in the community, local residents remain mixed views about whether the decision is reasonably available for public. Some people support that because new restaurants provide them with various choices while others disagree with that when it comes to environment factors and social resources consuming. Personally, I believe that the increasing number of restaurants may undermine the development of community in a long term.

Admittedly, it is undeniable fact that a variety of restaurants allow people enjoy different food style. Rather than having the same pattern in the lunch time every day, diverse sorts of food is definitely beneficial to residents to select what they really need.

Nevertheless, the new restaurant plan may result in several detrimental effects as follows. In the first place, it is acknowledge that the number of customers is an indispensable part of restaurant’s running. However, the poor population in this community is unsuitable for another more restaurant. To a large extent, the poor resources of consumers not only subvert restaurant business, but also lead to social resources wasted. In the second place, the poor attitude in environment protection of business owners is irresponsible for public. Unfortunately, local authority almost adopt no effective measures to relief the phenomena of contamination such as littering and discharging, which lead to a host of dissatisfaction of public recently. If the situation cannot be changed for the better, this new restaurant may arise more unsatisfying.

To sum up, building a new restaurant is a good idea to attracting people who come from different places or hope to enjoy different experiences. I do not recommend to build one more however, as it is unsuitable for local community in terms of population and environment. Local government should enhance the management of running restaurants and resolve current problems.
