Huzzah!∠(*ﾟ∀ﾟ)／ﾟ.:｡2 year Anniversary on Lang-8!!
What's up everyone? It's been a while.
I started using Lang-8 on June 3rd, 2010, so I've been using this site for two years!! :D
Thanks to this site and the awesome users like you guys, I've improved my English quite a bit.
Last year I ran statistics on myself, so I'm going to do that again.
I wrote 35 entries this year, which means I wrote two entries every three weeks. Considering I wrote 55 entries last year, it's safe to say I've been lazier. I didn't write anything in February and April.
I made 198 corrections this year, which means I corrected 3.79 entries a week. I have to admit that I'm really surprised at this number. I corrected even two more entries than last year. This proves that I was just lazy to write my own entries, not to correct yours.
I have 166 good points so far, so 42% of my corrections have native nods. Wow, I've done better than last year!(31%). Maybe it has something to do with having more Japanese friends, but I'll believe this means I obtained some good correction skills over the last couple of years.
I have 182 friends. 100 are English speakers. 31 are Chinese speakers. 30 are Japanese. 3 are German. And there are people who speak Spanish, Thai, Polish, Croatian, and Russian, two for each. The other speak different languages including Arabic, Danish, Turkish, Hebrew, Finnish, French, Serbian, Bulgarian, Tagalog, Korean, and Dutch. (no specific order, obviously. lol)
I wouldn't be able to communicate with so many people from all over the world if it weren't for this website. Thank you, Lang-8!

To answer your question, it took 10 years!
3 years of middle school classes,
3 years of high school classes,
Which were just another crappy English education in public schools in Japan. lol Unlike most students here, I didn't go to cram school, so I only studied the materials my school gave me.
College classes here and there for a couple of years. I started to enjoy learning English about 3 years ago.
Now I don't have any English classes, but I use English the most in my life. The Internet helped me tremendously.
I think it's not the years of study that counts, but the minutes you actually listen/speak/read/write.

Congratulations on this wonderful anniversary, and please continue using Lang-8! I don't like seeing people disappear for who knows what reasons.
As you know, lang-8 is crowded with really nice people, and we can all learn a lot together. Although, I will try hard to be more active, because I feel like I've been hibernating in this year.
I feel like I've been hibernating（笑）too. I'm not as active as I used to be, but I want to keep using this site as long as I can.
You are more active than the majority of my friends here. You've been having a hard time, so I admire you for being active and expressing your thoughts.
