One of my favorite actresses was the now-retired American actress, Kristy McNichol.
And my favorite film on which she acted was the 1981 film titled "The night the lights went out in Georgia", which was translated into "Good-by Georgia" in Japanese.
Though I only vaguely remember the detail of the story, I think It's about the story of a girl (Kristy McNichol) and her brother (Dennis Quaid) who longs to be a country singer in Nashville.
In the film, Kristy Sings superbly.
And intriguingly, Mark Hamill aka Luke Skywalker acted as a local cop.
The movie was filmed around the time the first series of Star Wars were being made, I suppose.
As for Star Wars, I heard that the new Marvel film "Black Panther" has been succeeding more than the latest Start Wars film "The Last Jedi" and so I think I'm going to watch it this weekend.

One of my favorite actresses was is the now retired American actress, Kristy McNichol.
I believe you mean to say that she still is your favorite actress, so you would need present tense.
A My favorite film on which she acted in was the 1981 film titled, "The Night the Light Went Out in Georgia", which was translated into "Good-by Georgia" in Japanese.
You usually can't start a sentence with words like "and" or "but". Also, film or book titles are always all caps except for connecting words like "in" and "the".
Though I only vaguely remember the details of the story, I think it was about the story of a girl (Kristy McNichol) and her brother (Dennis Quaid) who long to be a country singers in Nashville.
If only the girl want's to be a country singer you would have to rephrase the sentence as "I think it was about a girl who long's to be a country singer and her brother" or something like that.
And Intriguingly, Mark Hamill aka "Luke Skywalker" acted as a local cop.
The movie was filmed around the same time the first series of Star Wars movies were being made, I suppose.
As for Speaking of Star Wars, I heard that the new Marvel film "Black Panther" has been succeeding more popular than the latest Start Wars film, "The Last Jedi" and so I think I'm going to watch it this weekend.
Very nicely written, word choice is a little off in some places but a very nice post.
I thought that she was already retired and I may use past tense, but you're right, she is my favorite one even now.
And my favorite film of her’s is the 1981 film titled "The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia", which was translated into "Good-bye Georgia" in Japanese.
And intriguingly, Mark Hamill aka Luke Skywalker played a local cop.
