Last month I traveled around the Canary islands on a cruise ship.
Even though I didn't care for casinos much, I joined a bingo game in order to waste some time.
I paid two euros to get a bingo card.
(Actually I used my credit card, so I didn't know the fee until later.)
When I saw my card, I was a little puzzled.
Though I had played bingo games several times back in Japan, the card I took there was of a totally different type.
The bingo cards I knew were ones which have five columns of five squares, which make a five by five square grid.
With those ones, you could win when you complete either a column or row or diagonal line.
However, one I took there was a card which was a three by five grid; only half of the squares had numbers and others were just blank.
So, I didn't know how to play with my card while numbers were called.
Later, I learned that there are two types of bingo cards, the one I know, and another one called 90-ball bingo card played mainly in U.K.
