Japan won the women's World Cup for the first time.
Congratulations, Nadeshiko Japan.
"Nadeshiko" seems to come from "Yamato Nadeshiko"
which means the ideal Japanese woman.
Although I’m not so interested in soccer,
It is a great news that Japan won an international tournament.
I am glad to know that lately many players go abroad and learn new things in different countries. When they return some profits to our society, our team can grow.
It is a positive cycle.
In spite of being in a different field, I study here and want to bring something back to Japan’s educational circle.
More and more Japanese need go out of Japan, see the world, and contribute to our country.

actually the final japan vs usa (ranking no.1)
guess you can do it at youtube haha
I also had a great time watching the women's soccer game. I was very proud of both of the teams. They both worked very hard!
I was very happy for Japan when they won! You can see in there eyes that they were not going home with out the "prize".
It was interesting to read the history about Nadeshko. Someone did an entry about it in Lang 8.
I enjoy reading your blog and the things you experience. Thanks for sharing your world to us!
Nono ^^
When you share your world to others, it inspires young people to see the world like you. So, I "get" what you are experiencing.
So, yes, thanks for sharing!
Nono ^^

I think I know how Japan feels. The Mavericks won the O'Brien Trophy for the first time, except it's not international of course.
It's just between the states, but I think Texas knows the same feeling Japan has now because their team won for the first time too.
Also, I agree about more Japanese needing to go out of their country.
A lot of Americans love to travel, not that Japanese don't travel, but they're more likely to stay in Japan for their whole lives.
Did you know Japan is known to be xenophobic?
Xenophobic means 排外的.
i thuink japan government is xenophobic
but jap people are very kind
so if foreginers go to japan...they wont get so much trouble
And now that you say it, I think that's true.
I sometimes forget the government really does have control over everything.
Thank you for the insight.
my hometown kyoto (mono-culture), which is a famous tourist resort though, is totally differt from sydney (a multi-cultural city)
Although I’m not so very interested in soccer,
but i meant people use the word very less in spoken eng
yeah i tend to watch the world cup so at least i have some interest...thats why i put "so"... thanks for your explaining!!
