I've always been interested in languages. I studied German for four years in high school and college (though it's been a while since I practiced!), and I've been learning Japanese on my own.

My goal is to know these languages well enough to be able to read in them and to be able to converse while traveling. Europe is on my list of places to go someday (I am particularly interested in places relating to great composers), and I have been to Japan. I spent two weeks in Sapporo as part of a college exchange program and had a blast!

I teach music, though my brother says I should have been an English teacher. XD
