  • You even tolerated me the part that I dislike myself.
  • You even tolerated me the part that I don't like myself.
  • Sentence is correct, just made an alternative and I hear this sentence often. "Tolerate" is a strong word, it is both enduring and accepting. The statement means the person widely accepts that part of you even you do not ask it. It is a humble and a thoughtful way of saying to a friend or to someone special.

Tolerate is not quite a good word though..翻译是容忍 "Accepted" or "Embraced" I think are better alternatives. 'You even embraced the part of me I dislike'~~(你有好朋友-- 真幸运)

  • I think discords, disappointments and hurts will gradually be displaced by happy and sweet memories.
  • I think discords, disappointment(s) and hurts will gradually be displaced by happy and sweet memories.
  • All three of your negative words _can_ be used as non-count nouns, even though they don't _need_ to be. The first one ("discord") might be better that way (although it can be used as a plural). Another word for "discord" (besides "disagreement") could be "strife." Other words for "hurts" might include "injuries" or "heartache(s)."

  • 2. Even as a cowardly person, only if I have morality and justice in my heart can I encourage myself wherever I am.
  • English is very, very strange sometimes. If you put "only" in front of a conjunction or preposition, then you have to reverse the subject and verb after it. "Only if we fight can we win" "Only after we harvest can we eat" "Only with the help of friends can we triumph" "Only out of friendship can love be born" All of these sentences sound very, very formal, which is good when you're quoting Sima Qian.

  • 1. Courage and cowardice results from situation; powerfulness and weakness results from environment.
  • A hero has courage, a coward has cowardice. "while" means "but"; since the two parts of the sentence agree with each other, use "and" or a semicolon.
