I found this English learning website, and thought it was interesting. The text was short and the teacher spoke slow and clear. I learned some words from it. I tried to practice making sentences to strengthen my memory.

2.swanky
She loves staying in swanky hotels when going abroad.
3.save your pennies
I have to save my pennies for my future.
5. splash the cash
If I were loaded, I won’t splash the cash.
6.status symbol
It is just like a black hole to splash the cash to prove your status symbols.
8.pecking order

Conspicuous consumption can show your mindset.
10.cost the earth
