Hey! Officer! I saw a pink elephant just now! It's true! It's real!　It's the honest-to-goodness truth!

A pink elephant with yellow polka dots walked across this street! It was a real one. And that's the honest truth!　For God's sake!　Believe me!

Of course I know “seeing pink elephants" is a euphemism for drunken hallucination, caused by alcoholic hallucinosis. But it is a real creature. You've just got to believe me.


What is this? An alcohol checker? Hey, come on. I'm not drunk. I’m well and truly sober!

Ok, ok, I'll do it, if you like. But I'm not drunk. On my honor.

This ( "freakin'") is very very colloquial....don't use it at work...

Some people use freak as a little better way of saying f**k... or use f**king cool. Its even worse than freakin'...

It isn't incorrect, it's of a very low register and just not really appropriate for non-native speakers who often can't judge when to use slang. That's the reason I never teach it to non-native speakers. If they need slang, they will naturally learn it when they get to the advanced level....
