The exam last year assigned an essay to explain an English proverb using examples in 50 words. So, I'll try this topic. If there are any mistakes, please let me know.

"It is no use crying over spilt milk."

This proverb means that you can not change the thing that have happened as you can never get the spilt milk again. For example, if you have an examination without enough preparation, you may think you should have studied harder. In such case, we use this proverb. (47 words)
