Have you ever thought about why some people are very muscular and progress a lot in a gym? And others not at all? There are many factors for this. However, the single most important element is a progressive overload. It is asking from body every workout (or other time frame) a little more. For example if you can lift for an exercise 5 series of 8 repetition of 50kg load, then you have to increase some element by a small amount. You could increase the load to 51kg. Of course, the first time you will increase the load, you will not probably get 5 series of 8 repetition but maybe only 6. It's not a problem! You have to lift the same until you can lift 5 series of 8 repetition of 51kg. And then you have to increase the load to 52kg. If you workout, do you apply this to practice?:)
