In some areas in Japan, we have a ceremony to cerebrate children's one year's birthday.

In the ceremony, we let children carry Isshoumochi, which is a round shaped 1-1.8 kilograms rice cake on their back. The detail of the ceremony differs among areas, but we usually are praised if the children fall down because of the heavy rice cake.

They say that means the children have great amount of food that they can't carry on their back, so that they will never be out of foods for their life.

My son became one year old on May second, so I will have this ceremony tomorrow!
It sounds fun!
