케이라
That's my name in Korean. But I don't understand. If my name starts with a'K' (ㅏ) Then why is it this symbol-> 케. I understand that it's a couple symbols put together. But I don't see the 'K'. ^^;
Could somebody please explain this to me? :D
*is lost. Very very lost*

I'm learning Korean in college right now so I hope I can help(^^;)
But, the "K" in Korean is ㅋ and when put together withㅔ it looks like 케 when typed.
Even though you spell your name as "ka" in English, if you wrote that as 카 in Korean it would sound as "ka" as in like "ca"rpet. But it Kayla actually sounds like "Ke"la, right? So you would need the ㅔ and not ㅏ.
*Also, even thoughㅔ and ㅐ have the same sound you would use ㅔ because it's a foreign name.*
I hope I answered your question!
It makes and "ah" sound when put together with a consonant..
The "k" sound is "ㅋ" (press "z")
The "eh" sound is "ㅔ" (press "p")
The "i/ee" sound is "ㅣ" (press "l")
The "r" sound is "ㄹ" (press "f")
And the "ah" sound is "ㅏ" (press "k")
To get the "keh" sound, you put "ㅋ" and "ㅔ" together, like this: 케 (press "zp")
To get the "i/ee" sound, you put "ㅇ" (a silent consonant) with "l," like this: 이 (press "dl")
To get the "rah" sound, you pute "ㄹ" and "ㅏ" together: 라 (press "fk")
So, if you press "zpdlfk," you'll get "케이라," which represents the sounds of the Japanese pronunciation of your name in Korean.
Learning how to read Korean is essential if you plan on learning the language.. Please do it >_>;; It's not hard at all.
