The second one sounds most natural rhythmically. The first one doesn't work. The last one sounds more informal and unnatural.
You could use "entrusted" instead of "entreated".
The definition of "entrust" does not include the "asking" part, but it can be implied/assumed based on the fact that the definition is for one person to put the responsibility to do something on another person.
I also thought "entrust" is used more commonly in this type of sentence.
