One of my experienced co-workers misheard our boss when he called my name, not his from his desk at the office. Our boss talks in a low voice which sometimes makes him very obscure to be understood. We went to our boss’s desk almost at the same time and tried to listen to what he said. I noticed that our boss gave us a bitter smile. Then, he awkwardly told us that he had a question to me, not to him. This experienced co-worker has a good-tempered characteristic and sense of humour. It seemed that he didn’t want our boss to feet bad for his confusing voice, so he said a couple of jokes and went back to his desk. I respect his act to have consideration for others, even though he was very busy at the time.
