As you know in Japan, our customer services are fantastic. Have you heard of this phrase" the customer is god" Transport service are great, Restaurant staff are friendly, polite and thoughtful which we tend to you certainly do a great job at making you feel like one. We always put the customer before yourself. However we don't have tip culture. We don't get super amazing wages. We are stupid. In the UK, I think It's depends on person or service, I mean If you felt that was good service or enjoyed yourself you could give some tips to staff in person or restaurant or hairdresser. I like this idea. It gives me motivation.
