There is the famous shrine in KAMAKURA, it's called TSURUGAOKA HACHIMAN.
Many people go to the shrine to be in prayer at New Year's day.
We say grace to be happy and well during the year.
I went to the shrine today. Because we have two children who will have the entrance examination of Unvercity and High school soon.
I pray to pass a school examination.
I brought a HAMAYA what is said it protecte someone againt bad luck.
I show you the seem of today's KAMAKURA.

The photos are beautiful. I would love to visit a Japanese shrine some day. They have some mysterious beauty; and the architecture is wonderful.

Last yera, the president OBAMA visited in the Great Buddha and ate it.
I vaguely remember seeing Pres. Obama's visit in Kamakura on TV. :)
I think it's tast is not so good.

Sky is so blue on your picture. We didn't have such a blue sky for a long time now. I've been to Kamakura several times and I love it.

In my hometown, people visit temples on nearby hills on the first day of the luna calendar and pray.
The temples would be rather smoky.
