Yestedray, I went back home from my office on foot, instead of taking a train.
昨日、久しぶりに会社から家まで歩いて帰りました。
It takes about 1 hour to walk from the company to my house.
会社から家までは歩いて約1時間かかります。
Last summer, I had often did that since it was warm enough to go out even at night.
昨年夏、夜になってもとても温かったので、よく歩いて帰っていました。
The reason why I tried so is because the article I had read told me there is another form of Zen practice.
It is Working Zen, in which we are supposed to focus on counting our breath over walking.
以前読んだ生地によると、歩行禅と言う、呼吸を数えながら歩くと言う禅の一種があり、それがきっかけで始めました。
Walking with concentration on exhaling and inhaling makes me fresh both mentally and physically.
歩いているととても気持ちと体がすっきりします。
Except when going along the national loads where I unfortunately get a lot of emissions from cars.
車の通りの多い国道を除いては。
I'm planning to restart walking back home as it is getting warmer in Tokyo.
東京もだいぶ温かくなったので、また再開してみようと思います。
