To practice my translation skills I tried to translate a piece of news from a Russian newspaper.
If you know Russian, here is the original text:
Болельщикам покажут трехмерного Аршавина

Впервые в истории британский телеканал Sky Sports будет сегодня транслировать футбольный матч в революционном 3D-формате. Игру между командами Manchester United и Arsenal, за которую играет Андрей Аршавин, увидят посетители девяти заранее выбранных спортбаров в Великобритании и Ирландии. Причем названия заведений специально не афишируются, чтобы не создавать излишний ажиотаж и дать возможность посетителям в полной мере насладиться стереокартинкой.
Как стало известно, перед тем, как принять решение о трансляции, представители телекомпании скрупулезно изучали вопрос и даже консультировались с режиссером Джеймсом Кэмероном, чей суперблокбастер "Аватар" стал первым по кассовым сборам в истории мирового кино. Если эксперимент пройдет удачно, футбольные фанаты смогут наслаждаться трехмерными играми еженедельно, правда, для просмотра им придется надевать специальные очки.
Тем не менее, в отношении трехмерных видеоизображений все не так радужно и однозначно. Есть мнение, что стереофильмы и объемные трансляции могут пагубно отразиться на здоровье. И этому есть подтверждение. Не так давно во время просмотра "Аватара" из-за кровоизлияния в мозг скончался житель Тайваня. Врачи пришли к выводу, что это произошло по причине длительного зрительного напряжения. А в Британии после просмотра 3D-кинокартины более трех миллионов зрителей жаловались на головокружение и мигрень.
Дело в том, что в стереокино, каковым и является любой 3D-фильм, существуют большие ограничения, они связаны с тем, что механизм восприятия экранного объема отличается от природного зрения человека. Зритель видит два плоских изображения, снятых с двух разных ракурсов для правого и левого глаза, и если эти картинки "некорректны" - это может вызвать дискомфорт и явиться причиной потемнения в глазах или даже тошноты.

Today, for the first time in the history, the British TV-Channel Sky Sports will be broadcasting a football match in the revolutional 3D-format. The game between the teams Manchester United and Arsenal, which Andrey Arshavin is currently playing for, will be seen by the guests of nine sportbars in Great Britain and Ireland, which were chosen in advance. The names of bars weren’t told publicly to prevent unnecessary crowds and to give the guests an opportunity to enjoy the stereo picture to the full.
As known, before the specialists from the television company decided to broadcast the game, they had studied accurately the field and even consulted the film director James Cameron, who’s superblockbuster Avatar ranked first in the history of the world filmmaking with regard to box-office receipts. If the experiment works well, football fans will be able to enjoy games in 3D-format every week. To do so they will have to put on special glasses.
Even though, with regard to the three-dimensional pictures, not everything is so cheerful and definite. Someone says that stereo films and 3-D broadcasts can have bad impact on our health. And it can be proved. Not long ago a resident of Taiwan passed away because of cerebral hemorrhage. The doctors concluded that the cause was long-lasting eyestrain. And in Britain more than three million people complained of dizziness and migraine.
The fact is that stereo films, such as every 3-D film, have a lot of restrictions, relating to the difference between the mechanism of perception of the volume on the screen and the natural human vision. The viewer always sees two plane pictures that were filmed from two different angles for the right and the left eye. If the pictures aren’t right, they can cause discomfort, blackouts or even nausea.
My goal was to make the text sound English, coz I tend to use Russian expressions and just write them with English words(( Dunno, if it worked well.

The names of bars were not(newspapers tend to avoid contractions) announced publicly to prevent unnecessary crowds and to give the guests the opportunity to enjoy the stereo picture to the full.This is not the right term. According to Wikipedia стереокартинка = стереоизображение = stereoscopy, but that is a rather technical term that wouldn't be used in a newspaper. Is stereokartinka a well-known word in Russian? Maybe just "3-D movie", I'm not sure though.
_Before the specialists from the television company decided to broadcast the game, they _ studied the matter in detail (field = поле, it makes you think they were studying the actual football field) and even consulted the film director James Cameron, whose super blockbuster Avatar recently became (стал => became, "ranked" => at some time it was first) the highest-grossing film in world filmmaking history.
Even so, with regard to the three-dimensional pictures_ not everything is so wonderful and definite.
Some people say/believe that stereo films(again, I'm not sure what the necessary term is) and 3-D broadcasts can have a bad impact on one's health.
Not long ago a resident of Taiwan died ("passed away" usually implies a peaceful death) because of cerebral hemorrhage.
The doctors concluded that the cause was prolonged eyestrain.
And in Britain more than three million people complained of dizziness and migraines.
The fact is that stereo films(see above), which every 3-D film is, have a lot of restrictions(hmm, I don't think this is the right word. What is the meaning of ограничения here?) , relating to the differences between the mechanism of depth perception on the screen and _ natural human vision.
The viewer _ sees two 2-D pictures _ filmed from two different angles, one for the right eye and one for the left.
