There is gonna be a spring competitive exhibition at the local arts and crafts centre. I've been busy making pendants for the exhibition. I put a few gold wire-wrapped opal pendants I made in the competition last Tues. FYI I'm not a professional jeweler at the moment. It's more like a hobby, but I'd like to learn more about it.
The opening will be this Fri, and I will find out the result that night. I'm kind of excited. There are lots of sections for the competition like best patchwork quilt, wall hanging, crocheted item, jewellery and stuff, so there's gonna be a lot of people, yummy food and wine. : )
I won the first prize in wire wrap jewellery section last year and the prize was 50 bucks. How stingy.. However, the prize will go up this year as I overheard. I will keep you posted about the competition.
Anyways, I just wanted to let my lang-8 friends know that I'm fine and I'll post lots of Japanese articles as soon as the exhibition finishes. I really appreciate your help. Jp friends!!! : )
